About Kevin<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

A husband, father, grandfather, and pastor, Kevin Hartke has lived in Chandler since 1985 and has played an integral role in making Chandler one of the best-run cities in Arizona. He is currently serving his second term as Mayor, with his term ending in January 2027. He previously served on the City Council for nine years before becoming Mayor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kevin is a strong believer in fiscal conservatism, limited government, and smart economic growth with an eye toward the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kevin served as Lead Pastor at Trinity Christian Fellowship for over 40 years and continues to serve part-time at the church. He has been married to his wife Lynne for 44 years, and together they have four children, four grandchildren and a doodle named Sadie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Small Business Champion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Small businesses create jobs, strengthen the economy, and support our communities. We must lower taxes and reduce unnecessary regulations so that small businesses can compete on a level playing field with large corporations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Public Safety<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Chandler is one of the safest large cities in Arizona because we value our police officers, and the work they do to protect us. Arizonans deserve safe communities\u2014and that means supporting all our first responders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Fiscal Conservatism<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Government can be efficient without being expensive. During my time as Mayor and on the City Council, we lowered property taxes rates, maintained the lowest sales tax in the state, and paid down pension liabilities. Taxpayers work too hard for government to take more of their paychecks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Border Security<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Trump Administration has delivered one of the most secure borders in history. Arizona must continue to keep our border safe. We can take the lead by assisting the federal government with law enforcement partnerships and additional resources to keep our border secure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Education<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Strong schools build strong economies. Arizona must continue to be a national leader in school choice, while ensuring our schools maintain rigorous standards and putting student achievement first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
